Pauley, Seals chosen as Nebraska Entrepreneurship Fellows

April 13, 2023 (OMAHA) - Dan Pauley and Tyler Seals, partners in the law firm Smith Pauley LLP, have been chosen as Nebraska Entrepreneurship Fellows, an invitation-only program through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Entrepreneurship that taps into the state’s top business leaders to help mold the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Pauley and Seals will serve as fellows for the 2023-24 academic year. Through a combination of engaging curriculum, events and workshops aimed at developing student businesses, the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship educates more than 1,400 aspiring entrepreneurs every year.

Pauley called it “humbling” to be chosen for such an important role in mentoring Nebraska’s young entrepreneurs.

“I’ve certainly had plenty of mentors who have helped me during my career journey, going all the way back to my younger years with the family lumber business in Hastings, up to last year when we launched Smith Pauley,” Pauley said. “I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned along the way – and learning from the students, professors and other fellows in this program.”

Seals thanked the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship for the opportunity to work with students and help develop the skills and resources they need to establish and grow their own businesses.

“I know firsthand the exciting challenges that entrepreneurs face when launching their own ventures, both through the clients I represent and through my experience with being on the ground floor of forming Smith Pauley,” Seals said. “I can’t wait to be part of this program and partner with students and professors.”

Pauley and Seals understand the importance of thinking outside the traditional ways of doing business.

Headquartered in Omaha and serving clients across the state and region, Smith Pauley formed in 2022 and is comprised of attorneys from the former Smith Slusky and several other like-minded attorneys who joined the firm. Smith Pauley and its 20 attorneys pride themselves on being a disruptive force in the field of law by offering the highest level of consultative service to clients. They’re also dedicated to a system of transparency for everyone on their team and don’t employ the historic pyramid model of staffing and compensation in law.
